2016 WA Racing Season Comeback

Mon, 25 Apr 2016

The start of the 2016 WA State Road Racing Championship this coming weekend (30 April / 01 May) signals a return to the championship series for local top level racer Ralph Mammoliti and it is an extra special comeback for Ralph and his family.

Ralph withdrew from the 2015 season after a spectacular start to spend as much time as possible with his father, who was fighting a hard battle with prostate cancer. Ralph Snr was a constant and permanent member of his son's pit crew and continued to attend race days even when his health began to suffer badly.

Tragically Ralph's father lost his battle late last year. Ralph has never raced without his Father in his pit since he was a very small child, but one of Ralph Snr's parting requests and wishes was that Ralph race on, even in his absence.

To honour that request, Ralph has prepared a brand new 2016 model Kawasaki ZX10 to run in the Superbike Series. A number of supporters have helped Ralph put his campaign together for this all important season.
The livery on the new bike is stunning to say the least, and shows all those who have supported him as well as displaying the logos of The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, who Ralph and his family have become avid fundraisers for. Ralph will also wear a specially prepared pair of blue coloured boots (the signature colour of the Foundation) to show his support.

We are very proud to have been part of Ralph's racing for many many years and wish him the very best for 2016's racing.

Drop by Ralph's pit bay at the race rounds and say hello if you get a chance.
