WA State Superbike Champs fast approaching
For KRS Racing and Cam Keevers
The 2010 season is about to get underway on the 15th & 16th of May and Cam and his new Honda CBR 1000 should be in a good position for a top result! This will be his rookie year in the superbike class and Cam hopes to back up his 2009 State Supersport title with a solid showing in the tough superbike class.
2010 will see new sponsors on board with the team which is great news for Cam and the KRS team. Long time mechanic Stephan Pesch will be in the pits once again and the bike is yet to miss a beat in the last few practice days at Barbagallo raceway.
The bike will be in fairly stock standard trim for the first event with just new suspension added with an exhaust system but performance of the bike so far suggests this shouldn't be a big disadvantage. All going to plan the KRS honda should have a a full superbike spec engine at round 2 of the champs!
The only concern at this stage is a hand injury where cam broke a bone 2 weeks ago riding a dirt bike. It won't be 100% but with good physio this shouldn't hamper the racing in 2 weeks.
Cam's comments:
I'd like to firstly thank all new sponsors and existing ones being involved this year! I think we can do well and have some good race wins and be in a position to win a championship this year. The timing of my hand injury isn't great but it will be good enough to get through the weekend and have good racing. I am still getting used to the new bike so I think as the year goes on we will only get faster!
The bike will look great thanks to motorcycle panel & paint and Rated R parts this year!
